F.A.Q
Do You Groom All Breeds?
Yes! All breeds, sizes, and personalities are welcome.
Do You Groom Cats?
Yes! I offer low-stress, cat-friendly grooming in a quiet space.
Do I meet your dogs/cats while I’m here?
No.
Fergus would love to greet every guest like a Walmart door greeter on Christmas Eve,
but we do not allow that.
There is a door.
The door is closed.
Fergus is behind the door making dramatic eye contact with it.
Stella is holding five tennis balls like a Victorian ghost of fetch.
The cats are judging from a distance like woodland spirits with opinions.
Your pet gets the studio to themselves.
Calm. Quiet. One-on-one.
No audience. No sniffing. No emotional chaos.
Fergus will simply have to cope.
(He will not. But that’s his journey.)
What does “Fear Free Certified” mean?
What does “Fear Free Certified” mean?
Being Fear Free Certified means I’m trained to recognize stress signals, reduce anxiety, and help pets feel safe and supported during grooming.
This includes:
- Slow, gentle handling
- Breaks when needed
- Positive reinforcement
- Working at your pet’s pace
The goal isn’t a “perfect” haircut, it’s a positive emotional experience where your pet feels respected and understood.
Are vaccines required?
Yes — we believe in science here.
Your pet must be current on core vaccinations (Rabies + DHPP for dogs, FVRCP + Rabies for cats) before their appointment.
This protects your pet, my pets, and every pet who enters the studio.
If you’re unsure what your pet has, your vet can provide a quick vaccination record.
Everyone’s safety matters.
Especially mine. I have very chewable limbs.
Why might the price vary?
Pricing is based on coat condition, grooming history, and temperament.
Dogs and cats who are anxious, need more time, or have matting/tangling may require additional handling or grooming techniques.
This ensures your pet gets the time, gentleness, and patience they deserve.
Can I stay during my pet’s session?
Most pets focus better without their person present, like kids at daycare.
To help them feel safe and confident, drop-off and pick-up work best.
What if my pet needs a break?
Perfect, we take breaks.
This is a relationship-based studio, and your pet’s comfort sets the pace.
Water, stretching, cuddles, and reassurance are part of the process.
How do I Book?
Click the Book Appointment button anywhere on the site — it takes you to my online booking system.
You’ll choose your pet’s service, fill out the form, and pick a time.
No phone tag. No waiting.
All appointments require review and confirmation.
You’ll receive a confirmation message once your booking is accepted.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
This allows appointment times to be fairly offered to other clients and ensures the studio runs smoothly.
How long does grooming take?
Most appointments take 1.5–3 hours, depending on breed, coat condition, and how your pet is feeling that day.
I work slow, gentle, and intentional. Your pet’s comfort > speed.
What is a speciality session?
Specialty Sessions are extended, relationship-based appointments designed for pets who need extra time, breaks, reassurance, or a slower pace. These sessions help anxious, elderly, or previously stressed pets feel more comfortable and supported.
